Fethiye to Olympos Gulet Cruise (3 Nights) — 35+ Experience

A tranquil journey along Turkey’s most beautiful coastline

Sail the most peaceful stretch of Turkey’s Turquoise Coast on a one-way Gulet Cruise from Fethiye to Olympos, created for travellers aged 35 and above who value comfort, culture, and natural beauty over crowds.

This 3-night itinerary departs from Fethiye Harbour, exploring Butterfly Valley, the Blue Lagoon (Oludeniz), St. Nicholas Island, Kas, and the Kekova region, before arriving in Demre for a smooth transfer to Olympos. Expect quiet mornings, crystal-clear swim stops, and tranquil evenings where sunsets and starlit dinners take centre stage. Explore Simena Castle, drift above the Sunken City of Kekova, and enjoy the rhythm of the sea — no crowds, no rush, just pure Mediterranean ease.

If you’re travelling from Pamukkale, Ephesus, or Istanbul, this Fethiye to Olympos route flows naturally as your southbound journey from Turkiye’s inland highlights to the coast. You can reach Fethiye easily by road or a short flight via Dalaman Airport, then step aboard your Gulet to begin your relaxed sailing adventure toward Olympos and Antalya.

Trip Itinerary

Meet your crew at the SAILNSTAY Fethiye Office at 14:00 to begin your Gulet Cruise adventure. Drop your bags, enjoy a welcome drink, and step aboard your traditional wooden gulet — we depart from Fethiye Harbour at 14:30 sharp.

Our first stop is Samanlik Bay or Red Island (Kizilada), where the calm turquoise water and warm afternoon light mark the beginning of your journey. Take a refreshing swim, float beside the gulet, or simply unwind on deck as the coastline slips by.

By late afternoon, we anchor at Boncuklu Bay or Tarzan Bay for your first Mediterranean sunset — golden skies, soft sea breeze, and gentle music create the perfect atmosphere for dinner on board. The evening drifts into conversation, starlight, and the soothing rhythm of the sea.

Vibe: Relaxed sailing, soft sunset, and a peaceful start to your Gulet Cruise.
Pro Tip: Watch Red Island glow at sunset — the perfect first photo of your voyage.

Meals: Five o’clock Tea, Dinner
Accommodation: Turkish Gulet

Wake to the gentle sway of the gulet and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee — another tranquil morning on your Gulet Cruise.
We begin the day sailing toward Butterfly Valley, one of the most peaceful natural treasures of the Turquoise Coast. Surrounded by steep cliffs and lush greenery, it’s the perfect setting for a morning swim or quiet reflection on deck.

Our next stop is the world-famous Blue Lagoon (Oludeniz), a calm stretch of turquoise sea framed by pine-covered mountains. Take a leisurely swim, enjoy paddleboarding, or simply relax on deck as paragliders drift gracefully above. For those seeking a touch of adventure, optional paragliding from Babadag Mountain offers breathtaking panoramic views of the coast.

By late afternoon, we anchor near St. Nicholas Island, scattered with ancient Byzantine ruins and surrounded by serene blue water. Take a short walk to the hilltop church for a golden sunset over the Aegean, or stay aboard with a glass of wine as the crew prepares dinner. The evening unfolds softly — good food, quiet music, and the sparkle of starlight reflected on the sea.

Optional: Paragliding over Ölüdeniz — highly recommended for its spectacular views.
Don’t Miss: Sunset from St. Nicholas Church — the most peaceful moment of the cruise.
Pro Tip: Bring walking shoes for the short climb — the view is worth it.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Five o’clock Tea, Dinner
Accommodation: Turkish Gulet

Wake to calm seas and the aroma of fresh coffee as your Gulet Cruise glides eastward along one of the most scenic stretches of the Turquoise Coast. Enjoy breakfast on deck while passing Patara Beach, a golden ribbon of sand stretching for kilometres — untouched, wild, and endlessly beautiful.

By mid-morning, we arrive in Kas, a charming harbour town with whitewashed houses, cobbled lanes, and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. Spend time wandering the boutique shops and waterfront cafés, or join an optional scuba dive in one of Turkey’s most renowned underwater sites.

After lunch on board, we continue toward Kekova Island, sailing gently over the Sunken City of Kekova — an ancient Lycian settlement now resting beneath the clear turquoise water. Swimming isn’t permitted here to protect the ruins, but the view from the gulet’s deck is mesmerising.

In the afternoon, visit Simena Castle, a small hilltop village overlooking the entire Kekova archipelago. The short walk to the top rewards you with breathtaking views — and perhaps a scoop of homemade ice cream from local vendors.

As the sun sets, we anchor in the tranquil Gokkaya Bay area for your final night at sea. Enjoy dinner on deck under a canopy of stars, a glass of wine in hand, and the soft rhythm of the Mediterranean closing your journey in perfect peace.

Optional: Scuba diving in Kaş or a gentle sea kayak around Kekova.
Don’t Miss: The panoramic view from Simena Castle at sunset.
Pro Tip: Have your camera ready when sailing over the Sunken City — the midday light reveals every ancient stone below.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Five o’clock Tea, Dinner
Accommodation: Turkish Gulet

Your final morning unfolds slowly — the sea calm, the air warm, and breakfast served fresh on deck as your Gulet Cruise glides toward Pirates Cave. Here, your captain shares a few local legends and stories of the ancient Lycian coast — a lighthearted start to the day surrounded by shimmering turquoise water.

We continue toward Camli Bay, where the sea is exceptionally clear — perfect for one last swim and a relaxed lunch in the sun. Keep your eyes on the water as we pass Turtle Beach, a natural nesting area where Caretta Caretta sea turtles are often seen gliding gracefully beside the gulet.

By early afternoon, we reach Demre Harbour (Andriake) around 13:00, marking the end of your three-night journey of sailing, swimming, and serenity. After heartfelt farewells to the crew and fellow travellers, a free shuttle transfer to Olympos awaits. Alternatively, private transfers can be arranged to Antalya, Kas, Fethiye, or even Cappadocia — all easily connected routes for the next chapter of your travels through Turkiye.

Don’t Miss: Keep an eye out for turtles near Demre — they often surface beside the boat.
Pro Tip: Bring your camera for the final sail — the morning light makes the coastline glow.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Disembarkation: Demre Harbour (~13:00) → Free Shuttle to Olympos

Pre-Travel Resources

Everything you need to prepare for your cruise — pick-ups, meeting points, travel requirements, and onboard guidelines:

Our Gulet Fleet

You’ll be sailing on one of our handpicked Turkish wooden Gulets — traditional boats with chill social spaces, sunbeds for lounging, and a shaded dining area where the crew serves up fresh meals daily. Every Gulet has its own layout and charm, but they’re all in the same comfort class — clean, comfortable, and made for slow cruising. Your onboard crew (captain, chef, and deckhand) are pros at keeping things smooth, safe, and fun. Want a peek inside? → See Cabins Onboard

Sample images shown. Gulet layouts and styles may vary slightly by departure.

Cabins Onboard

Each cabin is private and ensuite, with a twin, double, triple, or quad bed, your own bathroom, and just enough space to keep things simple. It’s not luxury — it’s clean, compact, and precisely what you need after a full day in the sun. Some bathrooms have a wet-room layout where the shower and toilet share the same space, while others may include a curtain or small divider. We provide fresh bed linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towel for swimming and sunbathing.

Cabin layouts, sizes, and finishes may vary slightly depending on the Gulet. All cabins are in the same comfort class.

More on dietary options | More on water policy

Yes, we do.

Our Standard Mediterranean Menu (included) naturally supports vegetarian and pescetarian guests.

For guests requiring vegan, gluten-free, or more specific dietary preparation, we offer a Special Dietary Menu Upgrade. This allows us to source dedicated ingredients and prepare meals accordingly.

Please select your preference during booking so our team can prepare in advance. Dietary requests must be confirmed at least 72 hours before departure.

Kindly note that meals are prepared in a compact onboard galley, and while we take great care, cross-contamination cannot be fully guaranteed.

Yes — drinking water is provided during all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

To help reduce plastic waste onboard, we kindly ask guests to bring a reusable water bottle, which can be refilled throughout the day from shared water containers on the gulet.

Bottled water is not served between meals unless otherwise noted.

Couples would get their own cabin. Depending on your group breakdown, solo travellers will share and may be roomed in a twin, double, triple or quad cabin.

If you are a couple, please add a note during booking.

Accommodation in multi-share cabins is included on this trip. Depending on availability, you may upgrade to a private triple/twin/double ensuite cabin.

Yes, you can change your departure date, depending on availability. A small fee will apply and, if the new departure date is more expensive, this difference will also need to be paid. You may also transfer the money you have already paid over to another trip of the same or higher value, provided it is outside of the notification period.

To ensure you have enough room to move around your cabin, we recommend you bring a small to medium-sized suitcase or backpack.

Due to boat licensing laws, you are not able to bring your own alcohol on the vessel. However, well-priced drinks are available for you to purchase on board using a tab system, which needs to be paid the day you check-out.

On all of our gulet cruises, we offer a traditional Turkish breakfast, a vegetarian lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, which are included in the price.
We offer Jain, Vegetarian, Vegan, Halal and Kosher food options on request.
You are welcome to bring extra snacks for the journey. Drinks can only be purchased on board on a tab basis, paid on the day you disembark.

Unfortunately, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks on board (including water) but you can bring your own snacks, such as peanuts, crisps, biscuits etc.

Bar Payments: Please keep in mind that you will need to have cash available to cover any expenses at the bar during the trip. The bar payments will be settled on the final day of the journey. It is possible that there won’t be any ATMs available at the ports, so it is best to plan accordingly. However, do not worry about withdrawing cash at the outset as there are ATMs in Kas Port town that will become accessible on the second day of the journey.

Some boats have power sockets in the cabins while other vessels only have them only in the salon area. The power sockets can be used when the engine or generator is on.

Beach Towels not provided: Please be advised that we do not provide beach towels on board. We kindly request that you bring your own towels for use at the beach. While bath towels are available, they should not be used for the beach. Please note that shops selling towels are easily found in every town throughout Turkey.

Gulet boats have limited energy resources, which is why it’s recommended to limit the use of air conditioning to 4-6 hours per day. This will help conserve fuel and optimize the efficiency of the boat. It will also extend the lifespan of the generator and support eco-friendly practices by relying on natural ventilation. Running the generator at night can be quite noisy and disruptive to other passengers. Therefore, it’s important to strike a balance between guest comfort and environmental responsibility.

Yes! If you book all 16 spots, the Gulet becomes completely private for your group.

The total boat price is shown in the pricing table under “Private Use – Whole Boat.”

That means:

  • No other guests
  • Same epic route
  • Same crew
  • Just your crew onboard 😉

To make the cruise exclusive, all 16 berths need to be booked.
If you’re a smaller group and want full privacy, you can still book the whole boat at the total private price.
