Sail Turkey: Kaş to Demre, 4 Nights

The original Sail Turkey – short on time, big on experience.

Sail the most scenic stretch of Türkiye’s Turquoise Coast — a four-night journey from Kaş to Demre, created for travellers aged 25–44 who want a balance of relaxation, discovery, and good company.

Starting from the charming harbour town of Kaş, this one-way Gulet Cruise sails east through a series of turquoise bays and ancient landmarks, including Inonu Bay, Aperlai Bay, Aquarium Bay, the Sunken City of Kekova, Simena Castle, and Gokkaya Bay. Days flow with swims, coastal walks, and easy conversation on deck; nights bring starlit dinners, quiet laughter, and optional drinks at Smugglers Inn, the coast’s famous island bar.

Your journey ends at Demre Harbour, the gateway to Olympos, Antalya, and Cappadocia. Complimentary transfers are included to Antalya Airport, with convenient drop-offs at Olympos Junction, Çıralı Junction, or Kemer Junction for those continuing east.

Prefer to sail the other way?
Our Demre to Kaş Gulet Cruise (4 Nights) follows the same route westward, offering fresh light, new faces, and the same relaxed Sail Turkey spirit — perfect for travellers arriving from Antalya, Cappadocia, or Konya.

Looking for a longer coastal escape?
Our Fethiye to Demre Gulet Cruise (6 Nights) extends the journey through Butterfly Valley, Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon, and St. Nicholas Island, with free post-cruise transfers to Dalaman Airport and optional drop-offs at Kaş, Kalkan, and Fethiye.

Whichever route you choose, every day brings new bays, new friends, and the timeless rhythm of the Mediterranean.

Trip Itinerary

Your Sail Turkey adventure begins in Kaş, one of Türkiye’s most charming coastal towns, where you’ll join our Gulet already sailing from Fethiye — meeting fellow travellers continuing their journey along the Lycian Coast.

Boarding begins at 15:00 from Kaş Harbour. After a warm welcome from your crew, you’ll have time to settle into your cabin or explore Kaş’s lively marina before we depart at 15:30.

For those interested, optional scuba diving can be arranged before departure — Kaş is known as Türkiye’s diving capital, with crystal-clear water, vibrant reefs, and even the chance to spot sea turtles. Whether you’re a beginner or a certified diver, it’s an unforgettable start to your cruise.

By late afternoon, we set sail toward Limanagzi Bay, a calm, sheltered cove just beyond Kaş. Five o’clock tea is served on deck as the Gulet anchors — the perfect moment for your first swim in the Mediterranean or to relax as the sun lowers over the sea.

Dinner is served onboard under a canopy of stars, followed by an evening of calm conversation, gentle music, and the quiet rhythm of the waves.

Vibe: A smooth, sunlit start — soft sailing, clear water, and your first night under the stars.
Optional Activity: Scuba diving in Kaş — available for both beginners and certified divers.
Pro Tip: The water at Limanagzi turns golden at sunset — don’t miss an evening swim before dinner.

Meals: Five o’clock Tea, Dinner
Overnight: Turkish Gulet – Limanagzi Bay

We begin the morning with a refreshing swim at Inonu Bay, one of Kekova’s hidden gems. After a lazy dip, we cruise toward the ancient ruins of Aperlai. Once a thriving Lycian city, parts of it now lie beneath the sea. We anchor here for lunch on board, with time to snorkel and spot the old harbour walls and stone foundations under the water.

In the afternoon, we set sail for Aquarium Bay, famous for its glassy-clear water. It’s the perfect place for a swim and our traditional five o’clock tea, with snacks served on deck.

By evening, we reach Gokkaya Bay, the centre of Kekova’s nightlife and watersports. After dinner on board, hop in the dinghy for a ride to the legendary Smugglers Inn floating bar. It’s a Sail Turkey tradition – dance under the stars, meet fellow travellers, and enjoy a night you’ll never forget.

Don’t Miss: Snorkelling over the ruins of Aperlai – it’s like swimming through an open-air museum.
Optional Activity: Watersports at Gokkaya Bay before heading to Smugglers.
Pro Tip: Bring cash for Smugglers – it’s the one bar on the route where card payments can be tricky.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon tea, Dinner
Overnight: Turkish Gulet – Gokkaya Bay

Wake up in Gokkaya Bay and enjoy a leisurely breakfast surrounded by turquoise waters. After a slow start, we cruise west to Burc Bay, a tranquil cove where you can swim and relax before enjoying lunch on deck.

In the afternoon, we set course for Hamidiye Bay, a beautiful inlet with calm, clear water and a peaceful atmosphere. Here we serve our traditional five o’clock tea, giving you time to swim, snorkel, or unwind on deck.

We anchor overnight in Hamidiye Bay, where the calm setting is perfect for a relaxed evening after the buzz of Smugglers. Enjoy dinner onboard, watch the sunset over the hills, and spend the night under a star-filled sky.

Don’t Miss: A sunset swim at Hamidiye – the water is warm and glowing in the evening light.
Optional Activity: Snorkelling around Hamidiye’s rocky shoreline.
Pro Tip: Tonight is about relaxing – recharge before our final adventure tomorrow.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon tea, Dinner
Overnight: Turkish Gulet – Hamidiye Bay

We start the day with breakfast at Hamidiye Bay, then sail toward the charming village of Üçağız, a sleepy harbour town surrounded by ancient Lycian ruins. Here we stop for about 1.5 hours, giving you the chance to explore the town or join the optional sea kayaking tour through the bays and ruins of Kekova.

By midday, we meet at Simena Castle, where kayakers rejoin the group. Climb to the castle at Simena for sweeping views over Kekova and enjoy a relaxed lunch with the group. Don’t forget to try the locally made ice cream from the village families on your way up.

In the afternoon, we sail past the mysterious Sunken City of Kekova, a UNESCO-protected site where half-submerged walls, staircases, and houses lie beneath the water.

We stop at Katir Pier for a swim and our traditional five o’clock tea, before heading to our final anchorage. Depending on the sea conditions, we spend the night in either Karaloz Bay (a remote and wild location) or Danamusa Bay (a sheltered and calm bay).

The crew prepares a special farewell BBQ dinner on deck, and your last night is all about stargazing, sharing memories, and enjoying one final evening with your new friends.

Don’t Miss: Climbing to Simena Castle – the view is one of the most iconic in Turkey.
Optional Activity: Sea kayaking through Kekova’s hidden bays and ruins.
Pro Tip: Tonight is your farewell night – stay up late under the stars.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon tea, Dinner
Overnight: Turkish Gulet – Karaloz Bay or Danamusa Bay

On your final morning, we make a stop at the mysterious Pirate Cave, said to have once sheltered smugglers. Afterwards, enjoy a last swim and relax in either Buzaglik Bay or Camlik Bay, where lunch is served on board.

In the afternoon, we sail to Turtle Beach, arriving around 15:00. Keep your eyes peeled – this area is a nesting ground for the endangered Caretta Caretta turtles.

By 16:00, we return to Demre Harbour for disembarkation.

Pre-Travel Resources

Everything you need to prepare for your cruise — pick-ups, meeting points, travel requirements, and onboard guidelines:

Our Gulet Fleet

You’ll be sailing on one of our handpicked Turkish wooden Gulets — traditional boats with chill social spaces, sunbeds for lounging, and a shaded dining area where the crew serves up fresh meals daily. Every Gulet has its own layout and charm, but they’re all in the same comfort class — clean, comfortable, and made for slow cruising. Your onboard crew (captain, chef, and deckhand) are pros at keeping things smooth, safe, and fun. Want a peek inside? → See Cabins Onboard

Sample images shown. Gulet layouts and styles may vary slightly by departure.

Cabins Onboard

Each cabin is private and ensuite, with a twin, double, triple, or quad bed, your own bathroom, and just enough space to keep things simple. It’s not luxury — it’s clean, compact, and precisely what you need after a full day in the sun. Some bathrooms have a wet-room layout where the shower and toilet share the same space, while others may include a curtain or small divider. We provide fresh bed linen and bath towels, but please bring your own beach towel for swimming and sunbathing.

Cabin layouts, sizes, and finishes may vary slightly depending on the Gulet. All cabins are in the same comfort class.

More on dietary options | More on water policy

Yes — drinking water is provided during all meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

To help reduce plastic waste onboard, we kindly ask guests to bring a reusable water bottle, which can be refilled throughout the day from shared water containers on the gulet.

Bottled water is not served between meals unless otherwise noted.

Yes! We can cater to most dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, and more.

When booking, you can select your dietary preference from the options listed.
If your diet is not listed, simply add a note in the reservation comments box or email us after booking.

Some special diets like gluten-free or vegan may require hard-to-find ingredients in Turkey. In these cases, a small surcharge may apply — we’ll inform you before the trip.

The more detail you give us, the better we can prepare delicious meals for your cruise.

Couples would get their own cabin. Depending on your group breakdown, solo travellers will share and may be roomed in a twin, double, triple or quad cabin.

If you are a couple, please add a note during booking.

Unfortunately, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks on board (including water) but you can bring your own snacks, such as peanuts, crisps, biscuits etc.

Accommodation in multi-share cabins is included on this trip. Depending on availability, you may upgrade to a private triple/twin/double ensuite cabin.

Yes, you can change your departure date, depending on availability. A small fee will apply and, if the new departure date is more expensive, this difference will also need to be paid. You may also transfer the money you have already paid over to another trip of the same or higher value, provided it is outside of the notification period.

To ensure you have enough room to move around your cabin, we recommend you bring a small to medium-sized suitcase or backpack.

Due to boat licensing laws, you are not able to bring your own alcohol on the vessel. However, well-priced drinks are available for you to purchase on board using a tab system, which needs to be paid the day you check-out.

Bar Payments: Please keep in mind that you will need to have cash available to cover any expenses at the bar during the trip. The bar payments will be settled on the final day of the journey. It is possible that there won’t be any ATMs available at the ports, so it is best to plan accordingly. However, do not worry about withdrawing cash at the outset as there are ATMs in Kas Port town that will become accessible on the second day of the journey.

Some boats have power sockets in the cabins while other vessels only have them only in the salon area. The power sockets can be used when the engine or generator is on.

Beach Towels not provided: Please be advised that we do not provide beach towels on board. We kindly request that you bring your own towels for use at the beach. While bath towels are available, they should not be used for the beach. Please note that shops selling towels are easily found in every town throughout Turkey.

Gulet boats have limited energy resources, which is why it’s recommended to limit the use of air conditioning to 4-6 hours per day. This will help conserve fuel and optimize the efficiency of the boat. It will also extend the lifespan of the generator and support eco-friendly practices by relying on natural ventilation. Running the generator at night can be quite noisy and disruptive to other passengers. Therefore, it’s important to strike a balance between guest comfort and environmental responsibility.

Yes! If you book all 16 spots, the Gulet becomes completely private for your group.

The total boat price is shown in the pricing table under “Private Use – Whole Boat.”

That means:

  • No other guests
  • Same epic route
  • Same crew
  • Just your crew onboard 😉

To make the cruise exclusive, all 16 berths need to be booked.
If you’re a smaller group and want full privacy, you can still book the whole boat at the total private price.
